Julia Chuzhoy is a Professor at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago. She completed her Ph.D. at the Technion, Israel, and spent three years as a postdoctoral scholar at MIT,the University of Pennsylvania and the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. She mainly works on algorithms for graph problems. In her spare time she likes to read books, learns to play piano and studies French.

David Hong Kyun Kim received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in May 2018 from the University of Chicago, where he studied approximation algorithms for network routing problems under the supervision of Julia Chuzhoy. He also worked on scheduling problems and their applications to real systems with Henry Hoffmann. He now works as a software engineer at Google and enjoys spending his free time hiking and listening to music.

Rachit Nimavat is a Ph.D. student at the Toyota Technological Institute, Chicago (TTIC). His advisor is Julia Chuzhoy. In 2015, Rachit received his BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, under the supervision of Prof. Surender Baswana. Rachit's work is mainly in approximation algorithms and hardness of approximation. In his free time he likes to cook, while trying to optimize the ratio of taste over effort. His favorite cuisine is of his home state of Gujarat, India.
